Whenever we have occasion to celebrate, it’s natural (possibly even instinctual) to head to your favourite pub.

Our pub has a variety of spaces that you’re welcome to use for any event. The Garden View lends itself perfectly for private dining and dinner parties. The Old Cottage is great for a casual-but-intimate style of gathering with your nearest-and-dearest.

In the summer months, our Gin Garden is perfect for your alfresco party, but if you’re looking to join us in the winter for a covered winter-wonderland. So whatever the occasion you’ve been put-in-charge of organising, leave it to us to find the perfect space.

Starting our Christmas festivities

We are a bunch of very old friends that are scattered around. So a central meet point is needed. We travel from Bucks,Berks and Wilts. Over the last couple of years we have been meeting at this delightful Pub. We love this place. Its friendly service and excellent food bring all six of us back frequently. . Yesterdays Christmas lunch was no exception. If you want to get your Christmas started. Its a great pace to try. We are back again in February.

Lunch for group of 25 walkers

Finding a pub that can accommodate a large group can be a challenge, but the manager of the White Hart worked with us to meet all our requirements. We had given him the list of our choices before our walk, so when we returned 2.30hrs later, they had the preparations in hand. Although we waited for about 30 minutes, everybody’s food came out of the kitchen at the same time, and it was all hot. I heard no complaints and many positive comments. Well done to Mark and his team, and thank you.

Are you dog friendly?

We are dog friendly throughout. We just ask that your four-legged friends are kept on a lead at all times.

Do you take deposits?

Yes, we do require a £10 per head deposit, that is redeemable off your bill on the day of your booking. This is required to secure your booking.

Do you require pre-orders?

Yes, we do require pre-orders 14 days before your booking date. Please do include any dietary requirements in your pre-order so we can ensure swift and easy service.

Do you offer buffet menus?

Yes, for large groups.

Do you have a car park?

Yes, we do. To the side and front of the pub we have parking.
